Ayrshire Federation has at present 48 Institutes with approximately 2,100 members enjoying regular monthly meetings from August through to May each year. Institute meetings cover a wide variety of topics from craft and cookery demonstrations to holiday travels and the learning of basic heartstart skills.

We welcome members from all walks of life and from all locations, not specifically rural communities.

At Federation level there is also a broad variety of events to participate in, including the following: -
Stadium Bowling, Outdoor Bowling, Carpet Bowling, Curling & Golf for the sportswomen in our midst, and for those who prefer maybe less physically demanding pursuits, we have:- Drama, Choirs, Matter of Opinion, Variations On A Theme and an Inter-Institute Quiz Night.

Practical classes are offered to members on a wide array of subjects. Recently, the Handiwives Guild offered classes on:- Beaded Braids, Tassels & Purses, Casalguidi Embroidery, Gold & Metal Thread Embroidery (Intermediate), Gardening, Cookery, Stained Glass and Fabric Origami.

We hope that we have provided something of interest for everyone. Don't be shy, come and try. You will not know what you are missing until you do.
