Stirling, Clackmannan & West Perth Federation is comprised of 29 Institutes, with a combined membership of approximately 1000. It serves a wide geographical area as the title indicates. Established in 1925, SC&WP Federation has an office in Stirling Business Centre. The office, with the Federation Secretary in attendance, is open on Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 3pm, between the middle of August to the middle of December and the middle of January to the middle of June.
The Federation is governed by a democratically elected and very enthusiastic Executive Committee consisting of Federation Office bearers, seven Group Chairmen, and Guilds Officials, who meet on a regular two monthly basis for discussion/debate and decision making relating to all aspects of Rural activity, within its remit. A Finance Committee is responsible for all major monetary decisions and meets annually prior to the Annual Business in November. In addition to the Annual Spring Meeting a Triennial Show is a major highlight where members can exhibit their talents and compete with other like minded Institutes and individuals for a wide range of silverware as their reward.
SC&WP has always had a healthy interest
sports and compete at National level in Golf, Curling , Indoor and Outdoor Bowling. We also take part in Education competitions,
Matter of Opinion, Variations on a Theme and, most recently, the Choir competition. Housewife and Handcraft activities feature prominently in SC&WP with classes, demonstrations and tests being an important part of our Rural year. We provide Demonstrators, Speakers and Judges when required.
We encourage the sale of the Magazine uptake, and supports ACWW initiatives.
