Education Proficiency Test Rules
Calligraphy
Three
pieces to be submitted - suitably presented - as follows:
1. Four lines of verse.
2. A verse from the Bible OR
Shakespeare OR a proverb, showing an illuminated letter.
3. A menu card OR an invitation card.
Three different
types of script must be shown. Pieces all to be candidate's
own choice. Presentation is part of the test and each piece,
where appropriate, should be mounted (BUT NOT FRAMED) (eg
a folded invitation card would not be mounted). This should
be the candidate's own work, i.e. no-one should be paid
to do this work, and it is up to the individual to decide
whether to cut the mount herself, or buy pre-cut mounts,
or ready-made cards.
