Education Proficiency Test Rules

Candidates will be given the opportunity to sit these tests during a three-year cycle.

Calligraphy & Photography Proficiency Tests

Secretaries of the Federations in which the Area Tests are scheduled are notified at least 6 months in advance, indicating that closing dates for the receipt of Test Entry Forms.

Headquarters will contact entrants to the Calligraphy and Photography tests with the arrangements and tests should be sent to Headquarters by an agreed date.

Art Proficiency Tests

Secretaries of the Federations in which the Area Tests are scheduled are notified at least 6 months in advance, indicating that closing dates for the receipt of Test Entry Forms are 1 April for Autumn Tests and 1 November for Spring Tests.

The Schedule and Application Form is available from Headquarters Completed entry forms,along with a fee of £5 for each test, should be returned to your Federation Secretary, who should return all completed entry forms and entry fees to HQ by appropriate date. Your Federation Secretary will have further details, and copies of the forms, when your Federation is due to sit the tests.

Once applications have been received a draft Itinerary is drawn up in consultation with the National Judge. Secretaries for the Federations concerned are asked to confirm suggested dates.

Once the final programme is set Secretaries will be informed and issued with the candidates tags etc.

Entries will be judged in local centres, and the judge's written assessment will be sent to candidates.
