Procedure for Housewives One day Demonstrations
Federations are offered a One day Housewives Demonstration organised through Headquarters every second year. A rota has been established, which can be obtained from Headquarters. The year is the calender year - January to December.
The demonstration would be expected to last 3 hours - either morning, afternoon or evening.
The minimum attendance at a demonstration has been revised and is based on the number of Central Councillors your Federation is allowed. The new attendance numbers is as follows:
1 Central Councillor - minimum of 20
2 Central Councillors - minimum of 30
3 Central Councillors - minimum of 40
4 or more Central Councillors - minimum of 50
If there is a shortfall in numbers, the Federation can open the demonstration to the general public. If there is still a short fall in numbers the Federation will be given the choice either to make up the money or cancel. If cancelling, Headquarters must be notified four weeks before the date of the demonstration, failing which the Federation will be liable for all the expenses.
Federations require to charge each member attending a fee of £4 per member or £5 per non member. The fees should be forwarded to Headquarters immediately after the School.
During November/December each year Guild Secretaries in the Federations entitled to a one day demonstration the following year are sent circular to this effect attaching an Application Form.
When applications are received from Federations every effort will be made to secure a Demonstrator in the subject and on the dates requested.
Once confirmed, the Federation will be informed of who the Demonstrator is, with name, address and telephone number.
