Variations on a Theme Competition

In the Variations on a Theme Competition, teams of 4 members present a programme of prose and poetry readings based on the given theme. The team must use a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 9 separate pieces within a time of between 12 and 15 minutes. At least one piece must be in verse and one piece must use all four voices in harmony. It is competed for by Federations in the north and south of Scotland in alternate years. The eligible Federations hold their own competitions to decide which team(s) go forward to the national final.

The 2009 Final will be open to Federations in the South. Further information will be available in due course.
