Variations on a Theme Competition
In the Variations on a Theme Competition, teams of 4
members present a programme of prose and poetry readings
based on the given theme. The team must use a minimum of
6 and a maximum of 9 separate pieces within a time of between
12 and 15 minutes. At least one piece must be in verse and
one piece must use all four voices in harmony. It is competed
for by Federations in the north and south of Scotland in
alternate years. The eligible Federations hold their own
competitions to decide which team(s) go forward to the national
final.
The 2009 Final will be open to Federations in the South. Further information will be available in due course.
