Weekend Residential Schools

SWRI offers members the opportunity to attend weekend schools, particularly in handcrafts and Scottish Country Dancing. These are held in suitable venues in various parts of Scotland.

Handcrafts Weekend School
The Handcrafts Weekend School usually features the concentrated teaching of 2 crafts, each to a group of approximately 12 members.

The 2009 School will be held from Friday 3rd April - Sunday 5th April in Scottish Agricultural College, Craibstone, Aberdeen. The subjects offered are Machine Embroidery and Ruskin Lace. Accommodation in single en suite rooms at a cost of £200.00 per delegate.

Scottish Country Dance Weekend School
The Scottish Country Dance Weekend School for members is held annually.

The 2009 Scottish Country Dance Weekend will be held at Fishers Hotel, Pitlochry, on 6, 7 and 8 March.
